This October, we are celebrating our very first Happy, Healthy Smile Month at Benevis. The inaugural initiative reinforces better community education in dental health by combining two national celebrations – Dental Hygiene Month and Orthodontic Health Month.
Benevis will recognize Happy, Healthy Smile Month by delivering fun, educational tools to the 120 communities and 14 states we currently serve. Coloring kits, puzzles, fun facts and informational tools on the importance of dental hygiene and braces will be provided to kids in our communities and also made available online HERE for anyone who would like to access them in English or Spanish.
Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, fewer than half of all children enrolled in Medicaid have not had a single visit to a dentist during the year. That’s why it is so important to bring dental health awareness and education to our communities through October’s Happy, Healthy Smile Month, especially as Halloween approaches with candy everywhere. We want this education to reach kids, parents, caregivers, and educators all over the U.S.
In addition to community education, we will also celebrate our 400 hygienists, 300 dentists, and 65 orthodontists for the compassionate service and care they deliver to our patients in Benevis-affiliated offices each day.
